A high delegation from the European Early Music Network REMA was hosted and given an on-site lecture by archivist Mgr John Azzopardi and Dr Frederick Aquilina about the richness of the musical patrimony conserved inside the premises at the Mdina Cathedral Archives.

An official visit by the Pontifical Delegate for the Cultural Hertiage of the Vatican, His Grace Mgr Carlos Moreira Azevedo held at the archives premises. In picture, archivist Mgr John Azzopardi explaining about the rich archival patrimony conserved at the Mdina Cathedral Archives. The visit was followed by a discussion about the best practices on managerial and safekeeping issues related to these documentary treasures.

A delegation of Italian doctors during their official visit to HE the President of the Republic of Malta Marie Louise Preca. The delegation also visited the Cathedral Archives to discuss old documents concerning the medical history of Malta.

Students reading for a Masters in Notarial Studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Malta visited the Cathedral Archives Mdina on 14 November 2018, accompanied by their lecturer, Dr Joan Abela. Mario Gauci spoke about records from different archival fonds conserved at the Mdina archives premises some of which date back as early as the 1400s.
