Joanne Camilleri plays Beethoven’s Diabelli
December 2, 2017 @ 19:30 - 21:00€15
A one-of-a-kind concert featuring one of the greatest masterpieces of classical music – the ‘Diabelli’ variations of Beethoven. This monumental work includes a set of 33 of the finest variations Beethoven ever wrote.
Joanne Camilleri is indisputably one of Malta’s leading pianists who never ceases to mesmerise the audience wherever she plays. In this unmissable concert, she will also be playing the magnificent set of miniatures entitled ‘Kinderszenen’ by Schumann and Mozart’s beautiful Rondo in A minor.
Historic Piano Concerts offers a unique classical music experience through the combination of top musicians; one of the most inspiring and authentic-sounding pianos on the island – a historic A.D. 1890 Blüthner piano; and a stunning venue – the Cathedral Museum, in the heart of Malta’s medieval city of Mdina.
The main halls of the museum will be open throughout the evening and patrons will be welcome to walk around and enjoy the Art.
Wine will be served after the concert with compliments of Emmanuel Delicata Winemaker Ltd.
