Sette Giugno 1919.  In the aftermath of the Great War, a time of poverty and turmoil ensues.  As bread riots erupt, three Maltese are mortally wounded by British gunfire, with a fourth man bayoneted the next day.  This event remains commemorated yearly on the same day, as a national holiday.

Notwithstanding the significance of this historical event and its local status, the Mdina Cathedral Museum shall open as per usual to visitors, between 09:30 and 17:00 (last entrance at 16:30).  A fine opportunity to visit us should you happen to be in Mdina to spend the day with your families!
